The Bblack Book Of Hollywood Beauty Secrets

Are there special effects involved? Just how do celebrities make sure they don’t look like us? You’ll find those answers and many other, in The Black Book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets ( $15). It’s written by two self-proclaimed “frizzy-haired girls from the Heartland.” Kym Douglas is an image consultant on “The View,” while FLUFF contributor Cindy Pearlman makes her living interviewing actors.
“Hollywood is … a lot like high school except EVERYONE is a cheerleader,” they write.”We just asked the movie stars how they did it. What did they use? How often. Where did they get it? How can we do it, too? And they told us. We couldn’t believe it either.”
In short: It’s required reading. But I have some insides from this book for you ;)

    Ashlee Simpson

In this digital age, with all sorts of dazzling electronic gizmos, books gifts continue to carry a sense of permanence in this transitory world. Do you holiday gift givers still offer books?

The Black Book of Hollywood Beauty Secrets is an irresistible mix of expert beauty tips, famous names helpfully bolded in hot pink, recipes for facials and naughty blind gossip items such as

“Overheard on the Red Carpet: What sexy hunk of the moment is so obsessive about his pearly whites that brushing has become his mistress? He scrubs his teeth no less than 10 times a day.”

Stars are stars because they’ve got it, and we don’t. They’re gorgeous. Their eyes sparkle, their skin glows, their hair obeys every command. You can find out from this book that BSarah Jessica Parkereyoncé Knowles, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Davis use Rosebud Salve, a simple $5.5 product that softens lips in an instant. This is a product you can find it at any beauty-supply store or in most department stores and that you can also use it on your brows to keep the hairs in line.

The quotes range from insightful (”Who am I to judge anybody? I had bangs in the ’80s,” admitted Sarah Jessica Parker) to entertainingly deluded. Ashlee Simpson, for instance, says, “I have a big nose, though I love it. I’ve got a hump on it and everything.” Look at this picture! Anybody else thinking Sarah JP had nose surgery? Anyway, you must read this, especially if you’re an aspiring freelance writer or a beauty blogger!

Wow, looking back on this photo of Ashlee Simpson, I’m amazed at how much she has changed! And I don’t think she changed for the better. She lost her identity and copied her sister.

    3. KittiChai Says:

I don’t like them a lot, both seem all fake to me! (the simpsons! lol)

    4. rory Says:

KittiChai, I’m not too fond of them either- they seem really fake!

    5. KittiChai Says:

who famous are they in your country?

    6. KittiChai Says:

SJP seems to be a really big fashion style icon, am I right?
