There’s something about a personalized item that is extra special. When it comes to home decorating, anything with a personal touch sends a particularly ‘welcome in my space’ message, besides giving you the special creativity joy. Plus, you’re feeling totally absorbed by what you’re doing. You should try to create a decorative object for your home, just for this feelings. It’s really great! The result doesn’t necessarily have to be a work of art or expensive, just a tiny seed of your imagination. So, lets say you need some color in your bathroom, here is how you can create a special visual effect.

For example you can paint your bathroom shelves. First you must pick up a design, something that matches your bathroom design (a fish, water plants, a snail, water lily, sea stars, a symbol or the item you know best to represent
). You can always find symbols on the internet to use as model.

There are two different types of glass paint - waterbased and non-waterbased. Both have a good range of colours and are intermixable within their ranges. For this project you should use Transparent Glass Paint (here you can find tips and techniques). On a simple glass shelf you create your favorite symbols or aquatic elements (use bright and different colors for a great result). Then fix your glass shelf above your sink or above your bathtub like in this bathrooms by Heritage. Having a spotlight above the shelf will reflect the images in/on the sink or tub even in water if the shelf is placed as in the first picture. If the light comes from a bathroom mirror above the painted shelf it will increase the intensity. I suggest you to s
pare an imaginary circular space on the shelf for candles and other nice items you’ll put on it (so you don’t cover the paintings). Now all you have to do now is admire your work, so prepare for a nice relaxing bath… ![]()

I feel the same as you, Kitti. The best way is to give away old products to people.
