I have Tarnished Gold for quite a while and now I’m ready to share my review… when I fist got it I took the presentation photos preparing my work for a good/great nail polish review knowing China Glaze to release quality nail polish. But Tarnished Gold was a bit of a disappointment. As much as I like to play with nail products lately , it comes with very much shimmer and maybe that’s the reason it dries extremely fast. You don’t have much time to apply it, you surely have to move quick if you want it to crack properly. If you use a thick coat they don’t crack very well. I used a thin coat and you can see in the pictures below, the crackle layer still looks thick after it disperse itself .
This nail polish becomes thick (in the bottle) after first use. I had trouble trying to reopen it, because it dries on the bottle edges and steals the to apply it on bare nails or transparent nail polish it diffuses light and doesn’t so look good . I sincerely don’t know if the product isn’t expired or very old. It was sent to me for product review not by China Glaze but a shopping website which I’ll not mention here. Are there any positive aspects? Of course! For the gold lovers it looks and dazzles just like gold on your nails. I also tried it on green, red, brown, and bare nails and on the the first three it looks a little too bold for my taste, on bare nails it doesn’t seem to show any crackle shapes on light and by far on orange looks best. They look like gold jeweleries with sweet candy like crackles. I rate Tarnished Gold by China Glaze 6/10. Overall, I like it …I love crack polish!
