Marc Jacobs- 2006 Fall collection

It’s a lean season for the bottom half. Marc Jacobs’s plain black legging with big sweaters is as modern as it gets. For the rest of us, they’re handy when it comes to layering. (And it frequently does this season, too.)

Perfect with tweedy Autumn/Winter clothes and thick tights, brogue-detailed courts and knee-high boots added interest to heels this season.Brogue-detailed courts it’s a popular style for mary janes, but you can also find strapless courts in a brogue style from chunky heels to stiletto.

DSQUARED2 Q6513

I love these loafer-styled brogue courts from DSquared2. The color combination is called ‘cognac’ and is really autumnal, and the narrow stiletto heel provides a balance to the brogue and loafer details which we usually see on a heavier shoe. They’re available from Zappos Couture at a pricey $663.95.

Pedro Garcia -Virna

Next up is ‘Virna’, an Must-have round toe platform pump from Pedro Garcia. The ankle strap detail is very sweet, but you can remove it if you aren’t so tall. The chunky heel should counteract the height for those of us who struggle with slender heels. It’s available in black and dark brown and is $343.95 at Zappos Couture

Givenchy

Moving to the knee-high for the next three, starting with these gorgeous black leather very chic flap over design by Givenchy

Claudio Merazzi CM 843

Claudio Merazzi’s multi color suede upper platform is sophisticated and sexy. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for a departure from the traditional A/W dark boots to wear with your lighter colours and costs $1298.95 …

Sigerson Morrison 6676

One of the things I really like about these boots is that buckle detail and the metallic leather pinked trim - very cute. The boots are from DSquared2 costs $1328.95 and is just right for a pull on style friend (I know there are quite a few of you out there!) with size three feet, as that’s the only size left at Zappos.
