Hello my dears! It’s time to show people how creative you are and BE DISCOVERED. This is the name of the competition Marie Claire and Glam Media have joined forces to create for aspiring handbag designers. From April 23, 2007 AM (ET) to June 7, 2007 PM (ET) you can submit your handbag sketches on Glam.com, where the fashion community will vote for their favorites.
The lucky winner will receive a trip to New York, a one-night stay at a posh New York hotel (coach airfare from airport nearest winner’s residence and hotel accommodations) , and the MOST EXCITING part of all you will work side-by-side with Marie Claire editors as a guest “accessories editor for a day”. Additionally, the final 8 bags will be auctioned off on E-bay.com with all the proceeds going to charity…
All entries will be judged based on the following criteria: Functionality (25%); Originality (25%); Creativity (25%); and Style (25%). In the event of a tie, the person among the tied entrants with the highest score in Creativity will be the winner!

Entries must be postmarked by June 1, 2007 and received by June 7, 2007.
I’ll also try to come up with a functional-original-stylish handbag idea. Who knows…
