Golden Globe Awards 2010 celeb hairstyles

On Sunday, January 17th, the stars came out in full force for the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.  The Red Carpet was filled with designer gowns, dazzling accessories, and Hollywood hair at its best.  The three biggest hair trends of the night are not only gorgeous; they are also easy to do!  Here are some tips on how to achieve these looks yourself:

1. The Loose Chignon

Stars like Sandra Bullock, Anna Paquin, Calista Flockhart, and Kate Hudson wowed on the Red Carpet with this simple, undone style.  To get the look, use a curling iron to achieve the desired texture and then pull hair back into a chignon at the nape of the neck, letting face framing waves fall loose.  For a fuller effect, clip in hairdo Fine Line
Extensions ($49; QVC.com).  These lightweight extensions can be added wherever a little extra volume and thickness is desired.

2. The Voluminous Updo

The sleek, classic updo has always been a Red Carpet staple, but at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, stars opted for styles with a little more va-va-voom.  Celebs like Courtney Cox, Jennifer Garner, and Marion Cotillard sported updo’s with lots of volume.  For an easy way to achieve this elegant look, try the hairdo Bump Up The Volume ($99;QVC.com).  Simply clip it in at the crown of your head to get an instant boost and then sweep it into a twist or chignon for an effortless style that will look like it took hours.

3. Long, Sexy Waves

A favorite at this year’s Golden Globes was the long, flowing locks of stars such as Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Fergie, Heidi Klum, and Emily Blunt.  This fresh, youthful style looks best with soft, loose waves.  To get long, thick hair in an instant, try hairdo Clip-In Extensions ($74-$500; QVC.com).
