I ‘m back! And proud to say I’m a brunette again!
Sunday I went to Eden Salon. I was upset about leaving my home for so long, so I decided to risk trying a new salon and get my hair done. It is brown, dark brown, as my hair suffered so many changes and I haven’t got the guts to go back to black; but the low lights in the room makes it look black in this pictures my boyfriend took.
I took Sunday off to pack my things… oh, so many , but I shlep everything I own with me at all times because you never know when you are going to need baiting suit or silver eyelashes. Now I just finished unpacking (I can’t believe I managed to put all those things at their places), and I already miss my own home …
So, I was stressed, sad and my back hurt for packing all day, was snowing and I thought I leave the salon powerless… However, the moment I walked in, it was like stepping into a new zone. It’s a big, beautiful space. Everyone greets you with a calm smile. The space is sunny and elegant and peaceful, well thought out and glamorous.
I was invited to a chair by a young lady, with a cool haircut. I’ve told her I can’t get used to my all-one length bangs and then we set about coloring my hair. Few days before I took the liberty to cut my fringe and …ups…it was to short on the right side. Long story short, she did some corrective work on my bangs and she colored my hair. I’ve had dark hair before and I changed my hair color because, in my mind’s eye, I feel like a brunette… Almost black-headed brunette, but still brunette. You want the longer version? Ok!
The salon was chic, warmth and cozy. .. I wanted to get a massage. See, it’s really like a spa in there. They have these chairs that give you a massage after you’re getting your hair washed. It’s so peaceful and the guy who washed my hair was very good looking and had a cute burr, that I wanted to stay more
After neck, scalp and shoulders massage he moved in front of me to massage my temples and I couldn’t avoid noticing his brawny arms…uuu..I was so relaxed… So I sadly left this glorious place, but I already think about my next visit there

There were two young hairdressers. I had a difference of opinion with the one who took me first on her chair. Don’t get me wrong we get along well, but she said Cleopatra goes only with all-one-length fringe. I really needed to take it off , to leave it to grow because I didn’t get used to it, as I said. So she suggested me a razor-cut layered hairstyle. I agreed but I really wanted to keep my hair’s length so, she keep insisted to keep the fringe blunt. Finally, she was very kind to ask for her colleague opinion on this. You know how fast she she came up with a solution? She said to me that she had the same problem two times with ‘Cleopatra’, from the same reason. She tried it on black first and on blond as she is now. Now her hair looks gorgeous, layered and stylish…
Needless to say, her talent, her vision and her salon, I now have a girl crush on her hairstyle. Plus, asked her colleague to allow her to finish my cut
She straighten my hair with the hairbrush and I asked her about the products she uses. She’s very found of all Joico products (they use L’oreal, Joico, Matrix and Tigi). Even I didn’t had the length to make my fringe disappear, she made it asymmetrical so I can leave it to grow out. So, I advice you: bangs are cute for a while but once you have to grow them out they are a nightmare…

Your hair is beautiful! I’m trying to grow mine out (one of my ‘07 resolutions, I’m afraid). I’ve had short (really short) hair for over 10 years and have always wanted a gorgeous, chin-length bob with choppy bangs, so here I go. Who did yours? It’s gorgeous!

Thanks! I also had it short for 3 years and I enjoyed it! I know how hard it is to grow it out, cuz its a long period and you can change your mind a zillion times!:) But, you can do it! I’ve seen your picture and your oval pretty face looks gorgeous with any haircut! Your stylist can help you suggesting go-between hairstyles, I guess you know that.

I just got bangs.. they’re basic bangs kindda like urs but a little bit shorter but they cover my head. and my hair is shorter than yours too… just a little below shoulder length. Any ideas of what I should do with it? I can’t do a high ponytail everyday. and when I leave it out I personally think it looks kind of tacky. That might be because Ive never seen me with bangs but I’m not really sure

Black hair won’t work on mr, but it looks amazing on people with tan skin like you. I wish I could do that but I should stay with my dark brown… any darker and I’d look like a ghost.
Also the bangs look pretty.

as you know i like brown hair a lot, if you don’t like it maybe add a little dye?
December 15th, 2007 at 3:54 pm
I am afraid it will look unnatural black. But I want to try henna dye.

Henna is a great option!
It will make your hair more shiny and thicker!
If you want something without a lot of red, try out katam or amla, they are henna, too, but will make your hair more brown than red!
