L'eau d'Issey Eau de Toilette by Issey Miyake

First time I ever tried L’eau d’Issey Eau de Toilette I was very impressed. I generally have a hard time finding something that suits me, but not this time…I was absolutely conquered by this fragrance. They say is “a pure floral with musky and woody tones. A very complex fragrance, the perfume is made up of a wide range of flower scents including lotus, cyclamen, freesia and carnations, white lilies, with hints of amber-seed musk.” I for instance smelt a metal fragrance at first, after a while started to feel a little dizzy. I was afraid not to like it anymore because I have trouble wearing strong perfumes, and even thought I better take a shower before it takes all my energy off. It’s funny to remember the fight I had with a fragrance:)… a really “strong” and pleasant one.

Anyway, on my way back home I found myself thinking it’s a shame not to tolerate the most “me” thing I was buying in a long time. I really think this occurrence has a meaning…When I’ve got home, there was my boyfriend waiting for me with a surprise dinner so, while eating my dizziness disappeared. From that day on, not only it never been my “enemy”, but became “me”. I now find it very relaxing and it’s casual so I can wear L’eau d’Issey everywhere. The lasting power of L’eau d’Issey is wonderful. Two spritzes in the morning will last me just about an entire work day. If I want to wear it in the evening, I re-apply it again. If you want a subtle scent, try misting it in the air and then walking through as the mists fall down. It’ll layer all over your clothing very lightly, so if you think it’s too strong, that will help. It isn’t a strong scent, but it’s strength is strong, if that makes sense. The scent itself is airy and bright, not heavy at all.You can find L’eau d’Issey by Issey Miyake at Nordstrom, Sephora, and Macy’s. I’m sure there are a lot of other places, as well as online stores, that sell this with various different prices as well.
