But I think that people with dark eyes can get away with bolder eye shades because brown is a neautral eye color and looks good w/ anything while having green eyes limits you more to gold and lilac colors.

yes with pale skin and green/grey/blue/ eyes you always have to give your eye makeup a light smokey look or you will look like a clown, I know because I am pale too (Nc 15/20)

I think bold colors only look good on people with dark eyes or/and tan skin. I have green eyes and pale skin so bold colors look bad on me, also. I do wish badly that I could wear pretty, Cleopatra style dark blue shadow.
