I’m so falling in love with MAC Cosmetics lately and I will tell you why: I’ve received all their recent collections and they all wow me on some chapters. C-Shock was an inspiration for me as the eyeshadows are perfect for a wanna be make-up artist. I now get more compliments on wearing my own creations and feel proud to put the “blame” on the texture, colours and lasting power of MAC. When I received Flashtronic and I was amazed by the mineral Skinfinish… stunning effect, you have my word for it! Then the entire Rushmetal collection came to my front door and here I am having other 8 different shades of mineral pigments to play with and Thrills lipstick I spotted just for me…

I was reading some reviews on MAC two days ago, and there was a girl complaining about their brushes. She said they “shed all over your face”… I guess she doesn’t know how to use it. I advice you to spend the money on MAC brushes, they can make even bad makeup look good :) I will soon have some tips for you on how to apply makeup, especially using mineral makeup brushes.

Some also complained about MAC lipglass being sticky, which opinion I share. But I use it with my hair up , and I love it because it stays on for such a long time and no matter what colour you choose it’s always gorgeous. If you have the same problem with the lipglass you should try the new IN 3D Glass:

    IN 3D

“New smoothing cellophane lipgloss has immediate super shiny, long lasting finish. Has a comfortable lightweight balmy feel with aloe which helps soothe lips. The petrolatum provides cushion and comfort and has a non sticky texture. A combination of Xirona pearls and extreme glass shine gives lips a three dimensional look. Lightweight oils with vitamin A, C & E give moisture and emolliency to the lips. Translucent high shine colour adheres to the lips due to a gellified system. This lipgloss comes in a clear vial with brush.”
    Painterly
You have some low :) pictures I took to the 3 collections and a peak from IN 3D collection and Painterly, I can’t wait to put my hands on :)

I’m impressed by MAC, so I can write a good review for about every product I used. I prefer you ask me about them and you’ll have my answers. And more important: your opinion! Let us know! :)

I love MAC Cosmetics. They have such vibrant colors! However, their foundation always makes me breakout, but they do offer great coverage. Oh, and the pencil sharpener is the best in the market!!

      Hi Judy,
I guess your facial skin need more moisture than their foundation offers…
I received Painterly, IN 3D and just the other day their new fall/winter collections Blue Storm and Smoke Signals.Where do I start telling you about it?
Painterly has the most lasting and good looking cream eye shadows I ever tried in my life and the shades are definitely gorgeous!
3d Glass is the perfect treatment for dry lips besides making it look so fleshy and fresh.
Zoom Lash from Blue Storm became instantly my favorite mascara as it offers so much volume instantly! As for the eye pencils and Smoking Eyes4, you just have to see my pictures! Needless to speak about their lasting power and the colored pearls effect…The only products I wouldn’t dear to wear is the nail polish from Blue Storm and I’m not so impressed by the quality either. But MAC rulz anyway! :)

    3. Judy Mi Cha Says:

      Hi Maddie,
Yes, my skin is a little on the dry side. But lately I’ve been using a mineral foundation and haven’t had any problems.
I never tried cream eyeshadows because of the creasing and it would never blend well, but I guess it was because I was doing something wrong. lol
I’m definitely going to try the Zoom Lash from Blue Storm. I’ve been spending TONS of money on finding the perfect mascara. Bourjois Pump Up the Volume has done a good job for me thus far, but I don’t want to settle. I want to try Dior’s Show Mascara and Zoom Lash. lol

    4. Maddie Says:

Judy I had that problem with cream eyeshadows, too(I’ve tried tons).Trust me you’re not doing anything wrong…That’s why I’m amazed by Painterly’s Paint Pots: not even a crease, blend perfectly and dries instantly! I recommend it for all day wear.I now use black, brown and Moss Scape. I apply it on my upper lid and I also use a lip brush for the smoky eye effect. And it’s waterproof. Doesn’t smudge a bit! Even if you put your finger on it :)
Zoom Lash is perfect for me, I have also the Diorshow in my hands and I must say (although I love Dior) is below my expectations, so I prefer ZL by MAC.

    5. Judy Mi Cha Says:

Okay, then I’m definitely going to try Painterly’s Paint Pots and the Zoom Lash. Thanks, Maddie! :o )

    6. Marquita Says:

I am a faithful MAC user. I like MAC because they have such bright colors that look great on my skin. I am a NW 50 and it is very hard for me to find colors that I like. The only thing that I will not buy from MAC again is their mascara. It clumps big time.

    7. Peter Belisi Says:

      Great product line

    8. rory Says:

Mac is my my favorite makeup brand, hands down. Every product I’ve owned looks beautiful. Plus, the lipglosses stay on for like EVER. They do pink liops like no other.
I really want to try the new collection.

    9. KittiChai Says:

I just got to see some MAC stuff in real life and wasn´t that impressed because the eyeshadows didn´t show any color on my skin… crazy but true!
i heard that there will be a new LE coming out jan 08 named retro girls and I am very excited about that!

    10. KittiChai Says:

maddie, could you please write something about the shadesticks and other primer/base stuff from MAC?
      I very excited about that!

    11. rory Says:

      The shadesticks rock.

    12. KittiChai Says:

      Really?!
I should go to a MAC counter and ask them to help me fining an eye base/primer with me but I am way too scared

    13. Nevin Says:

Are MAC cosmetics good? Isn’t that like asking “Do we need to breathe?”

    14. rory Says:

      LOL !'’

    15. KittiChai Says:

I can’t believe how often new LE’s come out! They must have a really quick fabricant!

    16. rory Says:

They do seem to come out with new collections like every other month!

    17. Mary Says:

i wished i was into mac a lot sooner, i just started this summer and it’s quite an addiction…i love pigments!!! everything is awesome…if only the prices were a bit cheaper…

    18. rory Says:

I quite agree w/ the above poster, the prices are sky high.

    19. KittiChai Says:

MAC is much cheaper in the USA than in Germany, so be happy about your % ;)

    20. Mary Says:

that is true kittichai…i’m glad i do live in the US..but i’m not made out of money…if only i was paris hilton..

    21. rory Says:

Yes, MAC is cheaper here. But there are many products like clinique,Lancome, Estee Lauder, ect, that are cheaper in Europe, right? Or atleast France. MAC is the only “nice” american make-up brand I can think of!

    22. KittiChai Says:

I thought Estee Lauder owns MAC?
Shouldn’t it be cheaper in US, too?

    23. rory Says:

I didn’t know Estee Lauder owns MAC. That would make it cheaper here, then. :D

    24. KittiChai Says:

but the quality is different :(

    25. rory Says:

      The quality of what?

    26. KittiChai Says:

EL and MAC - in my opinion

    27. rory Says:

Which one do you think is better?

    28. KittiChai Says:

      all in all MAC

    29. rory Says:

MAC- me too. They really are good.

    30. KittiChai Says:

I like NYX, it’s like a cheap MAC.

    31. rory Says:

      Do you mean NYC?

The blue lipstick is so cool- does it actually show up blue!?

    32. KittiChai Says:

No I mean NYX, I think you can buy it at Ulta?
They are cruelty free and many people say it has great quality for their price.
I have some of their pigments which you can get at cherryculture dot com for I think 1 $ and they are reaaaaally great!

    33. lovemykitty Says:

      Hi Everyone,

MAC is great! and i have been using it since my early 20s, but I stopped because it is manufactured by Estee Lauder, and I believe they animal test, which totally went against the whole ethics of MAC.

I am quite disappointed by this!

    34. abear Says:

      MAC is CANADIAN!
