Included in the latest eye essentials collection, Serpent by Smashbox is an earthy green described by smashbox as deep jungle green with soft shimmer. It is an oily texture pigment that blends perfectly into your skin or with other pigments you use on makeups. I prefer referring to it as deep khaki or army green, because is dark and in low light becomes even darker and less shinny. That’s why in my no. 2 and 3 swatches I applied a first layer and over first half of the area I’ve added a second coat using MAC blending brush and blend it a bit…
Then exposed my ‘two layers’ swatch ito light and left the ‘one layer’ sub-exposed :
and switched to show you the shade changes.
I personally like all shades from this collection, maybe that’s why I decided to review at least 3 shades in individual posts. Hopefully you’ll love one of my close-ups…

Hi love the olive green eyeshadow. But from the picture on your hand, somehow it look like kind of metalic. Is it ?

No Aime, is not a metallic shade. As I mentioned it’s a soft shimmer dark green. It has that shimmer only in the sun light. Thanks for stopping by!
