I only recently discovered threading whilst in Eygpt and now I’m hooked. Call in to your local Debenhams or Selfridges for the Brow Bar and it’s about £15.00 well worth it. I had a Beautician who used to wax my brows, but it took me a while to realise she was waxing across the ends. My left brow has just about recovered but the ends of my right brow haven’t quite grown back. Clarins do an excellent brow pencil in blonde (Light light brown colour) and it’s spot on!

of course its all going to hurt! you are literaly pulling hairs out of your body, no matter what method you use. Its going to HURT! we werent made to pull hair out of our skin! if you are going to do it tho, make sure you know what your doing, use shapes that compliment your face, and make sure to leave enough that if you dont like it you can do something different. waxing is more risky because it also takes off the top skin cells, opening your skin to infection risks ( not good around the eyes) but is quicker than feeling each hair rip out. threading is a fast version of plucking, getting a wider section of hair but still using the same principal. I only advise it if you know what you are doing, otherwise it will be frustrating and trivial.

If you are worried about looking like chubaka while growing out your brows, you could tint them white while they are growing out every few days(jolen face bleach cream often used for moustaches works)and then tint them back to your preferred colour once they are fully grown in – I did this and it made the growing out process much less painful! after they were fully grown in and tinted brown, I had them threaded, which made a full but very clean looking brow

You would not want laser hair removal on eyebrows. The light from the laser spreads out across the skin beyond the scope of the laser, so you cannot get a defined line. Also, you need to be shaven to get laser treatments. Threading is good.

My friend gets her eyebrows threaded all the time. She said it hurts the first couple of times but its easier after a while. I have never plucked or waxed or threaded just because, 1. i dont care what other people think, and 2. because my eyebrows arn’t too bad. I’m leaving it till the last possible second. i will not change my appearance unless i become unhappy with what ive got.

I just found out about another method called threading. You pull out the hair by making a loop with threads, I have seen a video about it and if you get it done it seems to be quite a quick method. I will try it out when I have find a salon that offers it!

Just pluck. I don’t know why people don’t all pluck. It does not hurt. At least to me. Ofcoure you need to get “other places” waxed, not plucked, or you’d die from pain.

Mary, waxing is not as good as plucking just because waxing over the years pulls the skin above your eyes and makes it “flabby”. My aunt works at a spa and she told me this is what the eyebrow lady said.

if you don’t grow them out, soon they will never come back. After plucking all the time, it becomes permanent. Want to look like Pam Anderson? Didn’t think so.

I pluck my eyebrows just where they are not supposed to grow, and then fill in gaps and put on a wax to get an arch. Some people would say my eyebrows are too thick but my inspiration is Brooke Shields. The thicker the better(as long as they are well groomed.)

WOW! I wish I had seen these YEARS ago. I have been one of those chronic overpluckers but then when I allowed my brows to regrow I was never quite sure just what shape they were supposed to be in. If only I had known there were tricks like these.

i am sadly another victim of a bad eyebrow job!
but i do not have the strength or guts to grow them out
the course is too painful and looks so untidy
therefore i must live with thin eyesbrows

I too was the victim of an eyebrow accident. I’ve been growing mine out now (very painfully, I might add, I feel like Chewbaca!) for a few months. I’m almost ready to go into the Benefit Brow Bar actually to be shaped, and your tips about brow shape will be very helpful. Thank you!

Another good option for beginners is to visit a Benefit cosmetics free-standing store or counter – they have a thing called a “Brow Bar,” where they shape your brows into perfection. My friend does it and her brows always look great.
