I was a little stressed-out lately… As you can read from my previous posts I have a very busy schedule. Plus, every evening since I’ve started this blog, time just slipped my mind ( I skipped some sleep too–lucky me, there are supplements and vitamins that doctors say have great effects on me) . Now add hustle and bustle of the holidays. Shopping, cooking, finding the perfect gifts! Worrying about breaking the budget! Trying to fit more into an already crammed schedule!
This morning I realized that if I don’t do something about it, I’ll become this irritated, exhausted person…maybe even get sick? I’ve decided to relax and I read about some new relaxation methods. Research shows that taking just 10 minutes to relax on a regular basis decreases the stress response and has a huge, positive impact on both physical and emotional health. I really need to pay more attention to stress factors and add “break ” term to my vocabulary.
But until changes were applied something had to be done to really have a good start. So, I made an very early appointment to my favorite Spa. They gave me a great 2 hours of Stress Therapy Massage and Body Scrub that worked wonders for my holiday-crisis and I flew to my office, from there! I think we all should make some appointments with doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists–all kinds of healthcare practitioners- which can help us relax before holiday season! I have 4 more massage hours waiting for me for next 2 weeks and trust me, I don’t know if I’ll find the time for it. Moreover… I will make some ladies happy tomorrow, since I’ve also picked-up Spa Gift Certificates for my staff (what I think to be an inexpensive but powerful holiday gift).
I love WaySpa and they are offering some nice savings this Holiday season:
