Samar’s Question: I have dark circles around eyes and pain in the forehead.What should I use, and how to use it?
BeautyHobby answers:
Dark Circles are a common problem and you really have to look for its source. Darkness around eye areas may cave multiple sources:
Common sources like: Dehydration, Lack of sleep, Iron & B12 Deficiency (Anemia);
Aging. Dry skin becomes darker in time by dying. Also, as we age, skin and the fat pad under the eyes becomes thinner, causing blood vessels to become noticeable.
Rare problems that causes dark circles: Allergies or Hayfever. People with allergies also tend again to be deficient in B6, folic acid and B12 on occasion. Gluten allergy is also known as a cause for dark circles.
Recommendations:
- Include iron supplements and antioxidants in your diet (such as Green Tea or Aloe Vera Gel), increase your daily water intake (drink plenty), go to a spa for relaxation and spend more time out in nature, especially in parks or other green, alive, outplaces you enjoy. Get more sleep or quality sleep.
- For age under eye pigmentation there are cosmetic treatments like chemical peeling with very satisfying results.
- See a dermatologist for help determining what you may be allergic to.
- Use natural remedies: Sliced strips of potato or cucumber, cabbage.This is a very popular as well as an easy way to cure bags under your eyes.
- As cosmetic treatment for dark circles there are lots of creams based on vitamin K and Retinol on the skin care market. They seem to be effective on many cases especially on long term usage. Also, dark circles reducers, such as eye roll-on serum dispensers (Clinique just launched a new serum: All About Eyes Serum).
- Concealers I’m sure you already use to hide it. The makeup will help cancel out the undereye circles. Be sure to use a concealer that matches your under tone (i.e. yellow, peach, tan, light brown, etc.) After applying, set the concealer with a light dusting of translucent powder.
Samar, the pain in the forehead you’ve mentioned might be also caused by stress , a sign of anemia or lack of sleep. Putted together this 2 symptoms can be a good sign. It might exclude genetic pigmentation or dermatological problem. Who knows, you might reduce your dark circles by few blood tests, and professional help.
Good luck and get back to share with us !
