I know my updates have been woeful lately, but I was always here with you, working on technical aspects of my baby blog and always happy to hear from you (answering your questions).
Anyway, with so many changes in my life, my thoughts have turned completely to my health. And by health, I’m saying medical appointments, check-ups, diet, quiting smoking, stop drinking coffee each morning, increasing physical activity and trying to reduce stress levels. With the risk of becoming a health reminder, I will continue to share my concerns. I don’t want to make you sad, but lately (after my recent separation) I found myself asking what’s the most important thing in life besides love… Or, do you consider health more important?
Back to health, here’s how I think of each of this thing I did to improve my health:
Because heart disease is being identified as the number one killer of women, smoking can be harmful to a woman’s heart health. There are a number of FDA approved medications like Zyban which can help women stop smoking, as well as skin patches which are also recommended by medical experts.
Since diet also plays an important role in women’s health, women need to be smart about eating and food choices so that they will be getting the needed vitamins and minerals for their bodies.
In terms of developing an effective way to start to make better food choices, the doctor recommends writing down everything you eat during the course of the day, in order to help keep track of calories. Equally important is the process of making observations about your eating habits. Here are some questions we should raise:
How often am I eating high- calories foods during the day?
How much salad dressing am I actually using at lunch, or dinner?
How many sweetened beverages have I had today?
Cutting down on sugary fruit juices and sodas alone can make a significant difference in one’s weight. I hate the fact that I’m never thirsty and I have to keep a bottle close to me. And I always knew that is the reason for my frequent water retention. Now, I have small zips all the time and my intention is to keep it this way. I hope I’ll become feel the thirst after it will become a habit. Did you know that thirst comes much later after your body needs water?
Most important of all, we all need to stay physically active, not only to lose weight, but also to lower their risk for many diseases. According to the American Cancer Society, there is clear and convincing evidence that physical activity directly reduces the risk of breast and colon cancers. Research bears out that physical activity is connected to a 10-25% reduction in the risk of breast cancer ( and a 25-50% reduction of colon cancer.
Dr. Ben Johnson one of the proponents of a new alternative healing method called “The Healing Codes” has been saying for a long time that all disease is a result of stress and that our efforts as women should be concentrated on reducing your stress levels as much as possible.
If you think of other things we can do to be healthier, let us all know! Don’t forget to ask medical advice. It’s important to prevent, and discover it time to solve it as quicker and easier as possible…

-When you have the munchies for sweets, just go and get some fruits like bananas or apples. It will satisfy your hunger for sweets because fructose is sugar, too, but healthy!
-There´s an easy way to start meditation:

Another stay healthy tip is to take vitamins.
December 15th, 2007 at 4:44 pm
You should always check with your doc when you take vitamins, because you can easily take too much of those and get ill of that!!!
There are actually studies that say they can shorten your life but I don’t think so!
