Lindsay Lohan has served just over 80 minutes in jail in relation to her two drunk-driving arrests in Beverly Hills and nearby Santa Monica in May and July. The actress checked in to the Lynwood jail in California on Thursday morning, but by lunchtime she was out, according to Web site Hollywood.com
She was supposed to serve time is the same jail that both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie did, earlier this year for driving offenses.
As we can read in People Magazine, the actress turned herself in at 10:30 a.m., and was released at 11:54 a.m. The jail has a long-standing policy of releasing non-violent offenders early due to overcrowding.
“Ms. Lohan was cooperative,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore tells People. “She was fingerprinted, photographed, and put in a holding cell, but was let go due to our early release policy.”
Lohan was initially sentenced to serve four days behind bars in August, after pleading guilty to two of the seven misdemeanor charges against her, but a judge cut that in half and ordered her to carry out 10 days of community service instead. The actress began her community service with the Red Cross on Monday.
A further day was taken off the jail sentence because of time Lohan has already served during her arrests.
The star who spent much of the summer in rehab at Utah’s Cirque Lodge facility- was told she had to complete her prison sentence by January.

That is true. She thinks that by looking into the camera and showing cleavage will be thought of as sexy. The problem is that most people thought these pix were sexy. I don’t think they were classy at all.

everybody drinks, everybody drives drunk.it’s not that bad..she didm’t kill anybody and should be given a second chance..she’s an excelent actrees, at least for me, i’d love to see her at the movies again…people are saying she received an especial treatement, sure..she’s is an especial person!!we should be thinking on how to make things better not thinkiing about the things she didi wrong..know what..

Chaos - first of all… not ‘Everyone’ drinks…
and certainly not ‘Everyone’ drives drunk.
If you want to drink, that’s your right and you should be able to enjoy it… but drunk driving puts other people at great risk of harm… it is not OK… it is not Acceptable…
And if you look over the 32 comments here… you are the only one who decided it was necessary to use the ‘F’ word… so maybe you aren’t such a great judge of what ‘everyone’ does.
That being said… this is a beautiful girl who has a lot of problems… let’s hope she can straighten herself out before she does irreparable damage to herself. It may already be too late for her career. What a waste!

I think she’s a really good actress, just had a few bumps in the road. She’ll come back. I’ve watch this girl grow up and blossom into a beautiful young woman. It’s not like she’s the first celeb to have problems, heck, everyone has problems…just that they’re in the public eye and splattered all over the tabloids and tv when it happens. If Joe Shmoe had the same thing happen, think people would care? Probably not, but she’s, in my eyes, America’s little darling and scrutinized by everyone. She did the time…enough said.
